Texas Responsible Artificial Intelligence Governance Act (TRAIGA)
Requires governmental agencies to disclose to consumers that they are interacting with an AI system, and requires health care providers to disclose AI use in a health care service or treatment (§ 552.051). Prohibits developing or deploying AI for specified purposes, including inciting self-harm, harm to others, or criminal activity; unlawful discrimination; infringing constitutional rights; and producing certain sexual content, along with government social scoring and certain government biometric identification. The attorney general enforces it after notice and a 60-day cure period; there is no private right of action. Chapter 553 creates a regulatory sandbox and Chapter 554 the Texas Artificial Intelligence Council.
