Motor Carrier Safety Improvement and Employment Status
Section 644A.002 bars consideration of deployment, implementation, or use of a qualifying motor carrier safety improvement when determining whether a motor-vehicle operator is an employee, joint employee, or independent contractor for purposes of state law. It does not decide the classification result, displace federal tests, or create a general exemption for robotics personnel.
