Texas Drone Operations Over Airports Military Installations and Spaceports
Penal Code section 42.15 addresses intentionally or knowingly operating a drone over a covered airport, military installation, or spaceport, making contact with the site, or interfering with its operations. Subsection (c) provides specified defenses, including government and law-enforcement activity and qualifying authorization. SB 1197 added spaceports to the section, effective September 1, 2025.
