SB 2807 Enactment and Transition
Amended the existing Texas automated-vehicle framework by adding commercial driverless authorization and related administrative procedures, along with motor-carrier employment-status, insurance, and transportation-network provisions. The act took effect September 1, 2025. Compliance with the amended Subchapter J became required May 28, 2026 under the rule-triggered transition provision.
