SAFER SKIES and Conditional Local Counter-UAS Authority
Implements conditional counter-UAS authority for qualifying state, local, tribal, and territorial law-enforcement and correctional agencies. It distinguishes detection and warning certification from mitigation certification and requires authorized technologies and applicable coordination, spectrum, privacy, and reporting compliance. It does not confer general mitigation authority on private facilities or untrained local personnel.
