FAA Remote Identification (Part 89)
Part 89 applies to covered registered or registration-required unmanned aircraft and specified foreign civil operations. Compliance generally uses standard Remote ID or a broadcast module. Qualifying operations within an FAA-recognized identification area may proceed without Remote ID equipment, and other authorizations or exceptions may apply. The requirements are not limited to small aircraft.
