BIS Connected Vehicle Supply Chain Rule
Restricts specified transactions involving VCS hardware, covered VCS or ADS software, and connected vehicles with the required China or Russia nexus. This final rule covers vehicles under 10,001 pounds. Software and specified manufacturer prohibitions begin with model year 2027; VCS hardware restrictions begin with model year 2030, or January 1, 2029 for units without a model year. Authorizations and exclusions require separate review.
